My life is totally different after the surgery. I’m happier, I’m more self-confident. I really enjoy going and buying clothes now and there are friends of mine that I have known for 30 years that come up to me and say, “Don’t I know you, you look familiar.” And then when I tell them who I am they say, “No, it can’t be.” And of course that makes me feel really good.
I’ve been struggling with my weight for decades. In fact, I spent a small fortune on weight loss diets and gimmicks. My husband learned about the sleeve surgery on the Internet. I thought, “Finally, a permanent solution.” So we’d been looking for websites and we came across Dr. Frenzel. We decided that we would go with him. I called the staff and they were so helpful and kind; that made me feel very comfortable. So in two months, I had the surgery. It has been a total success. I have had absolutely no problems with it, it’s been a positive experience. In about a year, I reached my ideal weight. And for the first time in my life, not only have I kept the weight off, I lost a little bit extra.
My relationship with Dr. Frenzel has been wonderful. He is really a people person. As I’ve told others that I’ve encouraged to have this procedure, you’re not just a number, he really cares about you. Well, for one thing, he gives you his cell phone number. No doctor does that. He came in to check on me at 11 or 11:30 at night before he would go home from the hospital. He has just been a wonderful doctor and a wonderful friend. So, I only have one regret—I just wish I would have known about this sooner. It would have been so great to have gotten on this road quicker. And, so, Dr. Frenzel has been with me the whole time. He has been just the best and I have to say, this is the very best weight loss procedure and decision that I have ever made
